Baby, Infant and their family Occupational Therapy
Babies, Toddlers, a time of beauty, awe and excitement. Also, often a time of parental overwhelm, a bombardment of ‘recommendations’ from social media, well intentioned friends and family, all while you’re trying to get some sleep.
We know that they will grow, we know they ‘will do so in their own time’, but are they on track? Is this normal? Can I do more? Should I do less?
Are they too clumsy? Too picky? Too emotional? Am I overthinking?
We are here to help you navigate parenting these little humans in ways backed by evidence (science!).

What is the role of an Allay Occupational Therapist?
Our occupational therapists at Allay work alongside families, using play and relationships to assess and nurture children’s growth and development in their:
- Motor skills (gross and fine motor)
- Sensory processing
- Reflex integration
- Feeding skills
- Developing positive sleep habits
- Social skills and navigating friendships
- Self-esteem and managing big emotions
We also believe in the power of the supported parent and are passionate about providing a space for parents; providing evidence based information and tools to help you grow in to your parent role with confidence. See our ‘Parenting Hub’.
Programs are tailored to the individual needs of the infant and their family, drawing from a wealth of innovative, evidence-based resources, and training held at Allay.
We highly value and advocate for collaborating with other supports such as doctors and therapists, to ensure a comprehensive, coordinated approach.
Does a child have to have a diagnosis?
We are here for whoever would like support in these areas! You don’t need a diagnosis to access support.
We can support children with developmental delays, have been given a health or disability diagnosis, or who are having difficulty with their everyday activities and would like some guidance and support.
Our Approach
At Allay, we believe in a holistic approach to therapy, working closely with families and their support networks to build positive foundations in a child’s life. We aim to build confidence and resilience in families, encouraging learning and development whilst also creating opportunities for positive reinforcement, comfort, and safety.
