Jumpstart for High School: Preparing for Year 7
Welcome to Jumpstart for High School at Allay Occupational Therapy, where we support Grade 6 students and their parents in preparing for the exciting transition to Year 7. Our Jumpstart for High School Program is designed to build knowledge, skills, and confidence, ensuring students thrive in their new high school environment.
The group runs in Term 4 2024 over 6 weekly sessions.
What We Offer
Jumpstart for High School is a fun, interactive group that uses creative approaches to help students understand themselves in a learning environment and create a toolkit of options to succeed at high school. Our experienced Occupational Therapists facilitate activities tailored to the unique needs and interests of each student.

Planning and Organisation: Develop strategies to stay organised and manage schoolwork effectively.
Understanding Expectations: Learn about high school expectations and how to meet them successfully.
Energy Management: Discover techniques to manage energy levels and stay focused throughout the school day.
Time Management: Build skills to manage time efficiently, balancing school, homework, and extracurricular activities.
Emotional Regulation: Learn methods to manage emotions and stay calm in new and challenging situations.
Social Interaction: Enhance social skills to build positive relationships with peers and teachers.
